Sullivan County Community Hospital welcomed the county’s first baby of the new year, Kali Eva-Marie Knotts, at 1:59 a.m. Monday.
Kali weighed in at 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Gretchen and Kylar Knotts, her parents of Carlisle, were excited as Kali joins two brothers, both born at SCCH.
Kali entered the world very quickly, just 10 minutes after Gretchen was admitted to the hospital, according to an SCCH news release.
“We’ve had nothing but great experiences at SCCH. They have taken such great care of us,” said Gretchen. “It’s so nice to have this nice facility so close to home. I almost didn’t make it in time. I wish more people knew about the great experience here.”
Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce President John Montgomery presented the Knotts’ family with gifts from local businesses.
“We are so pleased to welcome the first new Sullivan County baby of 2018 with special gifts from Chamber members,” Montgomery said.
