Ladybirds begin season with road win

North Central opened the 2017-18 girls basketball season with a 71-69 victory at South Knox on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Averi Davidson made seven 3-pointers and scored a game-high 24 points before fouling out.
Courtney Williams, another freshman, finished with 22 points.
Senior Rachel Shroyer also reached double figures with 17. She also fouled out as the Ladybirds were whistled for 21 fouls, four less than the Lady Spartans.
South Knox won the JV game 40-30.
The Ladybirds will play Tuesday at Cloverdale.
