Linton won for the 16th time in 19 games, defeating host Sullivan 71-48 in a high school girls basketball game on Tuesday night.
Sullivan slipped to 6-16 with the loss.
Linton was led by freshman Aubrey Burris, who had 21 points. Classmates Vanessa Shafford had 20 points and Haley Rose added 13 points.
“Rose and Shafford are very good players,” said Sullivan coach Julie Meeks. “They have a lot of young kids that can play and can shoot it.
“Our kids played hard, but we still have trouble scoring. They moved the ball and found open shooters, who knocked down shots.”
Baskets by Sheyanna Ravellete and Asia Povlin tied the game 2-all and 4-4, but Linton went on an 8-0 run and never trailed.
Ravellette had 13 points to go with five rebounds and Povlin had 11 points, two rebounds, one steal and one blocked shots.
“Sheyanna continues to play well,” said Meeks. “She has put a couple of good games together.
“We need her to continue to score in the post.”
Reagan Holeman had 10 points, four steals and three assists.
Sullivan was without senior forward Lindsey Hatch, who has a shoulder injury.
The Lady Arrows won the JV game 58-52
Sullivan will conclude the regular season at home on Thursday against Marshall, Illinois. Start time is set for 6:30 p.m.
