Sullivan earned two wins over the weekend, capping things with a 96-32 victory over visiting North Central in a high school boys basketball game on Saturday night.
Sullivan scored the first 26 points and never glanced back. They made 12 of 15 shots in the first quarter, taking a 31-4 advantage.
“We got off to a good start,” said Sullivan coach Jeff Moore. “You never know how kids are going to react after a homecoming game.
“The kids really played hard. They pushed the ball and our unselfishness led to a lot of easy basketball.
North Central coach Jacob Cummings was not happy with his troops.
“Tonight, we literally had no effort,” said Cummings. “We did not even attempt to guard anybody or put up any resistance.”
Bryton Suggs, who according to Cummings did not play in their conference game on Friday because he was suspended, led the Thunderbirds, who shot 28 percent (11 of 39) with 20 turnovers, with 14 points.
Sullivan was led by Sam Steimel, who made 11 of 13 shots and finished with a career-high 28 points. He also seven rebounds, six assists, one steal and one block.
Ty Drake tallied 21 points on 9 of 15 shooting. Kevin Figg connected on 7 of 11 field goals, finishing with 15 points.
Jackson Shake had 10 points as he was perfect at the foul line — 6 of 6.
Ben Pirtle had seven points and six rebounds.
North Central played on Friday at Clay City, losing a 70-56 decision in a Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference game.
The Thunderbirds (3-16 overall, 0-6 in the SWIAC) trailed just 16-15 the first quarter. But Clay City (6-12, 3-3) went ahead 36-27 on the strength of a 20-12 second quarter.
Jacob LaFary led the Eels with 16 points. Corbin Crosby had 15 points and Gianni Pipes added 11.
Ty Thompson poured in 27 points to pace North Central.
Dawson Basinger made three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.
“Everybody that played did something positive,” Pritchard said of North Central’s performance against Clay City. “The kids stepped up and helped out without Bryton.
“Ty really shot the ball well. Dawson made some shots from distance. We also did a good job of rebounding the ball.”
Also on Friday night, Sullivan shot 11 of 16, including 6 of 9 3-pointers, in a 29-point third quarter as they pulled away for a 70-47 victory over Marshall, Illinois.
Senior guard Shane Garner made 5 of 8 3-pointers, all in the second half, and finished with 17 points.
“We were hitting everything we put up in the third quarter,” said Moore. “We had really good ball movement and made the extra pass for wide open shots.
“Shane got hot and started knocking them down from all over the place.”
Shake made two treys in the third quarter and tallied 12 points.
Drake also had a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 14 points.
Figg led SHS with 17 points and eight rebounds.
Pirtle dished out five assists and  Steimel had three steals.
Jesse Burdick had a game-high 18 points for Marshall (13-13).
Moore said for the most part that he was happy with the defense that forced the Lions into 15 turnovers.
Sullivan (14-5) will look to extend its winning streak to five when they play at Bloomfield on Tuesday.
North Central also will play Tuesday at North Knox.
