T-birds lose road game

North Central outhit the Falcons 9-7, but lost a 5-2 decision at North Vermillion on Saturday in a high school baseball game.
North Central led 2-0 after its first at bat, but the Falcons responded with four runs in the first and another in the second.
Cam Wanninger was the starting and losing pitcher. He issued five walks and allowed three hits in his one inning of work. He yielded four runs, all earned.
Chase Wiseley tossed the final five innings, yielding four hits and one run. He fanned seven and walked two.
On offense, Cody Curtis collected three hits and scored a run. He had a double.
Jacob Pritchard finished with a single and double.
Isaac Bonacorsi also had two hits.
Wanninger had one hit, one run and one RBI. Dakota Ellinger had the other hit by the Thunderbirds.
North Central (6-8) will play at South Knox today, starting at 5 p.m.
