T-birds win seventh game

North Central collected 17 hits as they defeated host South Knox 13-10 in a high school baseball game on Monday.
The Thunderbirds (7-8) got four hits, three runs and one RBI from Cody Curtis.
Blake Chatman had three doubles, one run and two RBIs.
Winning pitcher Isaac Bonacorsi had three hits and scored three runs.
Cam Wanninger had a double and triple and drove in four runs.
Wyatt Gerth doubled and scored two runs, Chase Wiseley contributed two hits and one RBI, Adam Orsburn scored two runs, Simon Tierney had a hit and drove in a run, Jaron Bonacorsi scored one run, Jacob Pritchard was credited with a run scored and one RBI and Dakota Ellinger went 1-for-2 with a run scored and one RBI.
Isaac Bonacorsi allowed nine hits and 10 runs, four earned, in his seven innings of work. He fanned six and walked three.
North Central will host North Knox at 5 p.m. today.

Arrows lose to North

Host Terre Haute North defeated Sullivan 172-211 in a high school boys golf match at Hulman Links on Tuesday.
Drake Turner shot 51, Conner King and Collier Elliott each had 52 and Logan Elliott shot 56.
Sullivan is scheduled to host WRV and Washington Catholic at 4:30 p.m. today.

North Central tops Lakers

North Central scored the game’s only run in the first inning as the host Ladybirds defeated Shakamak 1-0 in a Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference softball game on Tuesday night.
Madison Schofield scored on a sacrifice fly by Hannah Shroyer, who finished with two hits.
Schofield finished 1-for-3 while Hailey Salyer and Jocelyn Cox had the other hits by the Ladybirds.
North Central improved to 16-5 and finished 6-1 in the SWIAC.
Erika Shroyer tossed a complete game to earn the victory. She allowed five hits. The right-hander struck out two and walked two.
North Central will host Sullivan at 5 p.m. Thursday and then conclude the regular season at 5 p.m. Friday at home against Northview.

Lady Arrows win crossover game

Sullivan scored three runs in the seventh inning to defeat host Cascade 3-2 in a Western Indiana Conference softball crossover game on Tuesday.
The win was the 13th in the past 16 games for the SHS.
The Lady Arrows improved to 18-8 overall as Mariah Wills tossed a complete game. She allowed eight hits and two earned runs. She walked two and hit two batters.
She threw 88 pitches, 58 for strikes.
Reagan Holeman, Sheyanna Ravellette and Sydnee Hester scored the three runs.
Hester drove in two runs and Wills helped her own cause with two hits and one RBI.
Abbey Wardell, Maclynne Steele, Ravellette, Hester and Madison Robbins had the other five hits by the Lady Arrows.
Sullivan will play at North Central on Thursday, starting at 5 p.m.
