The Sullivan High School girls golf team opened the 2018 season with four sophomores in the lineup.
The Lady Arrows finished with a score of 256 while North Knox had just three golfers, one short of being able to compile a team score.
Cara Gofourth led the Lady Arrows with a round of 59.
Courtney Lueking shot a 63, Peyton Sisil 64 and Bonnie Witt carded a 70.
“The girls did all right tonight for their first match of the year,” said coach Justin Ridge, who is starting his fourth season at SHS. “I saw a lot of good things come out of tonight and I’m looking forward to next week.
“I was proud of our girls when they didn’t do well. They handled it graciously and that can be hard to do at times.”
Sullivan will play at 3 p.m. Monday at Edgewood and then play at South Vermillion at 5 p.m. Tuesday. They will play at home Thursday against West Vigo with a start time of 4:30 p.m.
