Northeast wins two

The Northeast seventh-grade boys basketball team defeated North Knox 42-32.
Koy Brooks led Northeast with 14 points.
Gaven Simmons scored eight points, Kagen Taylor seven and James Thomas and Devan Schimmel each scored six.
Northeast defeated North Knox 41-21 in the eighth-grade game.
The winners were led by Gavyn Tryon, who had 13 points. Brandon Daves added 12.
Levi Jennings scored five points and Nathan Scott, Josh Roberts and Josh Crossno each scored four points.
The seventh-graders lost to Eastern Greene 32-24 as Simmons scored 14 points and Taylor added five.
The Northeast eighth-graders defeated Eastern Greene 53-27 as Tryon (20) and Josh Roberts (10) combined for 30 points.
Daves scored eight points and Taylor added seven.

Carlisle girls fall

South Knox defeated Carlisle 19-14 in an eighth-grade girls basketball game.
Grayce Cooper led the Lady Indians with 10 points.
Cori Pirtle and Lauren Craighead each added two points for Carlisle (1-1).

Indians win one, lose one

Levi Holifield scored 15 points as the Carlisle fifth-grade boys basketball team defeated Clay City 23-16.
Also for the 2-0 Indians, Izaiah Burnet scored five points, Gauge Case two and Cain Ortiz added one point.
Carlisle lost to Clay City 39-18 in the sixth-grade contest.
Camryn Farmer led the Indians with 13 points.
Kaden Helms and Case each scored two and Holifield added one.

Carlisle wins

The Carlisle seventh-grade boys basketball team defeated New Hebron 41-10 as Layton Pinkston had 17 points.
Sebastian Ortiz and Jacob Chastain each scored nine points and Ben McKinley, Trey Bolenbaugh and Will Brooks each scored two.
They also defeated Dugger Union 43-14.
Ortiz scored 10, McKinley seven, Brooks six, Pinkston five, Gage Hancock, Jackson Sandberg and Bolenbaugh each scored four and Chase Bond added three.
The Carlisle eighth-graders defeated New Hebron 49-27 as Eli Gettinger had 22 points.
Ortiz also scored 10 points.
Dylan Clements scored six points, Parker Racey five, Lane Deckerd and Chastain each had two.
They also beat Dugger Union 62-38 as Gettinger (20), Deckerd (13) and Ortiz (12) combined for 45 points.
Larry Booker scored eight points, Racey six and Clements added three.
