North Central extends winning streak
North Central’s softball team extended its winning streak to four with a 7-2 victory over visiting North Vermillion on Saturday.
The Ladybirds improved to 14-8.
Erika Shroyer pitched a shutout for the first six innings, earning the victory.
She allowed four hits and two runs. The right-hander struck out three and walked none.
Jocelyn Cox hit a home run and drove in three runs.
Senior Madison Schofield had a single and double, scoring twice and driving in one run.
Morgan Manning was 1-for-3 with one RBI. Kaelee Moody contributed two hits, two runs and two RBIs.
Brooklin Klitzing had one hit and scored once and Sarah Koonce scored one run.
