Thunderbirds lose at home
Riverton Parke scored 10 runs in its final three at bats as the Panthers defeated host North Central 14-4 in a high school baseball game on Monday.
Cody Curtis pitched the first 5 1/3 innings and suffered the loss. He allowed 10 hits and nine runs, only three earned as North Central was charged with eight errors.
He walked two and struck out one.
Wyatt Gerth pitched 1 1/3 innings and Gage Wheaton threw the final 1/3 inning in relief.
On offense, Curtis went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
Gerth and Jaron Bonacorsi each had one hit, one run and one RBI while Wheaton scored one run.
Drew Fuson had a hit and Blake Chatman drove in one run.
North Central (2-14) will play today at North Knox.

Ladybirds lose to Clovers
In a high school softball game on Monday, Cloverdale defeated North Central 15-2.
North Central led 1-0 after three innings before the Lady Clovers exploded in their final three at bats.
Erika Shroyer pitched the first five innings. She allowed seven hits and seven runs, only two earned. She struck out two and walked one.
Kaelee Moody allowed eight runs, seven earned, in her only inning of relief. She struck out one and walked one.
Jocelyn Cox had two hits while Elizabeth Waterman, Morgan Manning and Madison Schofield each had a hit.
Moody was 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Arika Enochs went 1-for-3 and scored one run.
North Central (15-6) bounced back on Tuesday and defeated visiting Shakamak 9-4, finishing 6-1 in the Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference.
The Ladybirds will play at Sullivan on Thursday.
