A Dugger family and law enforcement are looking for answers after a person threw a pig's head onto the lawn of the family’s home. Pictured is a video still from the incident showing the vehicle involved.

Over the weekend, one family found an unpleasant surprise after someone threw a pig's head in their yard.

The family is Sara and Joe Pigg, Dugger, who caught on camera a person driving by and tossing the pig's head around 11:40 p.m. Friday night.

“And as you know, our last name is Pigg,” Sara said.

This isn’t the first time the family has had issues, a few months ago they were calling the local authorities as well.

“My tires got flattened, ruined,” Sara said. “They cut the valve stems off.”

Unfortunately, they didn’t have cameras at that time but they decided to install them after the incident. Now they have police involved again after this weekend.

“We have called the Sullivan County (Sheriff’s Department) and the (Indiana) State Police and they both are investigating the pig head incident,” Sara said.

As for now, the Pigg family and police are looking for answers. The vehicle in the video appears to be white or silver but there were no license plate numbers visible.

“Everyone seems to think it is a white or silver Ford Flex,” Sara said.

Until the police have more time to investigate, the family hopes this behavior will stop.

“We are tired of this and it’s a bit scary,” Sara said. “We definitely don’t think it’s funny. We just want these people to get caught.”
