ARRESTS

Jeffrey Scott Mathies Jr., 36, Sullivan, was arrested by the Sullivan
City Police Department at 10:24 p.m. Monday on preliminary charges of
battery, B misdemeanor, and resisting law enforcement. He remained
jailed Tuesday morning on $4,000 cash bond.

Jail population: 48 in house, 31 in other jails.

EMERGENCY LOG

• The Union Fire Protection Territory and other agencies responded at
8:15 a.m. Monday to a report of a fire at 8660 East Main Street in
Dugger.

• The Sullivan City Fire Department responded at 10:23 p.m. Monday to
a report of a fire at 234 West Thomas Street in Sullivan.
