WCIEDD announces re-energized brand and name

The West Central Indiana Economic Development District is
transitioning to a new name: Thrive West Central.

A press conference was held Thursday morning to announce the beginning
of a new era for the West Central Indiana Economic Development
District. With internal changes to the organization including new
leadership, new staff, restructuring of departments and redefining
goals, the organization wants to redefine itself to the region it

“Our organization was created with a mission and vision to see our
six-county region thrive through economic and community development as
well as an area agency on aging and disabled resources,” states Ryan
Keller, Executive Director of Thrive West Central. “Thrive West
Central was chosen because it exemplifies who we are. We are an
organization focused on helping communities thrive through the
development of community assets and
the improvement of quality of life initiatives in our region. We do
this through innovative problem solving, quality service, and
collaborative partnerships.”

The Thrive West Central brand brings a modern look to the organization
while incorporating classical regional characteristics within the
brand. The new brand represents Thrive West Central and what the
organization does for the region it serves. It allows for relevancy
and attracting new talent, creates brand authenticity and the ability
to have a fresh start while also having a cohesive design that
differentiates Thrive West Central
from competitors and evokes profound truths about the organization’s
innermost values.

“I am excited to see the launch of our new brand,” states Sullivan
Mayor Clint Lamb, also a board member of Thrive West Central. “Since
Ryan stepped in as Executive Director, he has had a vision for our
region and continues to express our values and to further our mission.
I am thankful for his leadership and look forward to seeing our
organization and our region thrive.”

Thrive West Central is currently working on many impactful projects
for West Central Indiana. These projects will help provide resources
to the West Central Region's assets that have been affected by
COVID-19. Thrive West Central will be focusing on how to best inform
the current state of our region and be able to provide solutions and
act quickly as resources become available to the communities it
