Local GOP party elects officers

The Sullivan County Republican Party precinct persons elected new
officers on Saturday.

The new officers for the next four years are: Chairman, Cheryl
Watermen; Vice Chairman, Kaleb Westbrook; Secretary, Twila Usrey; and
Treasurer, James Sharpe.

Sullivan woman arrested in Watseka, Illinois

According to a police report out of Watseka, Illinois, officers
responded to a business in the 1700 block of East Walnut at 3:30 p.m.
on March 2 after a call about someone allegedly running out of the
store after not paying for items.

According to the report, they got into a vehicle and headed south on
Route 1. Police
later spotted the vehicle coming back into town.

Rachel Hunt, 27, Sullivan, was taken into custody for retail theft and
driving while suspended.
