Sullivan High School JAG teacher Diana Lighthizer and her students helped put on the annual Mock Car Crash in front of students on Friday afternoon in the high school parking lot. Those students who participated included Jordan Andritsch, Addison Arnold, Bailey Brummett, Nick Campbell, Taylor Cameron-Stuart, Alexus Carty, Lauren Fisher, Josie Gettinger, Lilly Hagy, Dakota Hoke,Jordyn Kopp, Aidan Liepis, Emma Lighthizer, Kaleb Maxey, Joe McGowan, Ty Moody, William Newby, Tansy Norris, Lane Pinkston, Jack Ridgway, Alexis Reintjes, Chandller Scott, Ana Sheple, Katie Turley and Mataya Welch. Lighthizier said the Southwest School Corp. Police Department including chief Jim Dotson, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department, Sullivan City Police Department, Sullivan Fire Department, three local ambulance services, Lifeline Air Evac and Holmes Memorial Chapel assisted with manpower, vehicles, equipment and services. With the recent deaths of sister and brother Shelby Horton and Connor Rodriquez in an automobile accident, Lighthizer said the Mock Car Crash took on a different tone and importance.
