Caton contributes to ISU win
The Indiana State University football team defeated host Eastern Illinois 55-41 in a college football game on Saturday.
Indiana State improved to 2-1 on the season while Eastern Illinois fell to 0-3.
Sullivan graduate Dakota Caton continued the strong start to his freshman campaign as he amassed 178 yards of kickoff return yardage over the course of five returns. He averaged 35.6 yards per return.
He had a 99-yard touchdown called back by penalty on the opening kickoff of the second half.
Indiana State enjoys a bye week before opening Missouri Valley Football Conference play at 7 p.m. September 27 when they host Northern Iowa.
It is Youth Football Day at Memorial Stadium as all area youth football players will get in free by wearing their game jerseys.
