Sullivan falls at North

The Sullivan boys golf team lost to host Terre Haute North 168-189 in a high school match at Hulman Links on Tuesday.
For Sullivan, Wyatt Piel shot 45, Jaren Woodard 46, Gavin Jenkins 48 and Collier Elliott had a 50. Sullivan will host Northview on Thursday, starting at 5 p.m.

Arrows lose title game

For the first time in three years, Sullivan came up short in its quest to win a Western Indiana Conference baseball championship.
At Sportland Field on Tuesday, Edgewood defeated the Golden Arrows 11-1 in the title game, which was halted via the 10-run rule after five innings.
Jack Conner reached on an error and scored Sullivan’s only run on a base hit by losing pitcher Alex Cooks.
Sullivan will play today at Washington.

Lady Arrows place sixth

The Sullivan High School softball team finished sixth in the Western Indiana Conference after a 2-1 loss to visiting Cloverdale on Tuesday.
Reagan Holeman had a single and double, Delainey Shorter singled and Maclynne Steele doubled to account for Sullivan’s four hits.
Steele had an RBI, scoring Shorter.
Kendal Edmondson was the tough-luck loser. She allowed five hits and two runs, both in the first inning.
The freshman right-hander struck out two and walked three.
The Lady Arrows will host North Central on Thursday and play at Riverton Parke on Friday to conclude the regular season.
