Dugan wins
in 4-1 loss

Freshman Parker Dugan earned a win at No. 1 singles for the Sullivan
boys tennis team in a 4-1 loss to visiting Owen Valley on Monday.
“Parker had a very nice match,” said Sullivan coach Wes Kirk. “He beat a senior.
“Overall he played a good smart match.”
The No. 1 doubles team of Jared Couch and Brayden Cagle lost in three sets.
“I though that Brayden made a lot of good shots,” said Kirk. “Also I
thought our JV played well. They had some long rallies.”

“It was scoreless at the half,” said Sullivan coach Kurt Hauger. “They just outplayed us in the second half.”
Gabby Wright had 15 saves in goal and Hauger commended the play of Mary McKinney, Emma Lighhizer and Grace Vanatti.
“Mary, Emma and Grace normally don’t play a lot, but came in and played well,” said Hauger.
