Sullivan runs fourth, eighth at SWIAC

ELLETTSVILLE — The Sullivan High School boys cross country team placed fourth and the girls eighth at the annual Western Indiana Conference championships at Edgewood on Saturday morning.
Northview won both team titles as the boys won with 25 points. The Lady Knights had a winning total of 26.
For the SHS girls, Hanna Burkhart was 22nd overall. Her time for the 3.1 miles was 23 minutes and .21 seconds.
The other finishers for the Lady Arrows included Josie Gettinger (43rd, 24:59.54). Sydney McCammon (51st, 26:41.45), Payton Dugan (57th, 30:50.92) and Gracie Chickadaunce (58th, 31:02.61).
For the Sullivan boys, Dossan Lamb was seventh overall. His time was 17:27.43. Riley Smith ran 17th (17:54.29).
Also, Will King was 17th (18:01.57), Grant Alexander 50th (19:57.93), Tim Lueking 58th (20:46.14) and Walker Brocksmith had a time of 22:24.18, which was good for 68th place.
Sullivan will run at North Central on Tuesday before competing at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course as Terre Haute North hosts the sectional on Saturday.
