Bulldogs pick up first win
DUGGER — Host Dugger Union exploded for 26 points in the second quarter as the Bulldogs picked up its first win on the season, defeating Medora 54-47 in a high school boys basketball game on Friday night.
“We played a good first half,” Dugger Union coach Greg Kinnaman said of leading 36-15 at intermission. “We came out flat in the second half, but were able to withstand the run they had.
“We did enough things down the stretch to get the win. A win is a win.”
Brennen Martin made three 3-pointers as he led the winners with 19 points. Parker Racey and Russton Gilstrap each scored 13 points.
“We played tonight without two starters — Carter Hall and Jaydn Samm,” said Kinnaman.
