North Central uses big second quarter to pul away from Falcons

North Central exploded for 26 points in the second quarter as the Thunderbirds pulled away for a 69-42 victory at North Vermillion on Saturday in a high school boys basketball game.

North Central, now 8-7, trailed 11-5 after the first quarter, but led 31-20 at the half.

DeShawn Clark made five 3-pointers and led the winners with 19 points. Peyton Seay also reached double figures with 10 points.

Wyatt Ison had eight points, James Roberts and Gage Wheaton seven apiece, Trevor Hadley five, Tyler Vaughn four, Nathan Scott three and Jacob Adams, Levi Jennings and Keegan Morris each scored two.

The Thunderbirds will host Bloomfield on Friday, starting with the JV at 6 p.m. Their game with Shakamak has been moved from Saturday to Feb. 6 with the JV game beginning at 1 p.m.
