Sullivan blanks South Knox
Sullivan only dropped two sets as the Lady Arrows defeated host South Knox in a high school girls tennis match on Wednesday.
Hanna Burkhart, Paige Chickadaunce and Annie Smith won at singles while the doubles teams of Peyton Sisil and Sarah Francis and Courtney Lueking and Lexie Baker also prevailed.
“I was happy to get wins at all five positions,” said Sullivan coach Wes Kirk. “Annie won the second set in a tiebreaker. Peyton and Sarah won in three sets as Peyton did a great job with strategy adjustments and Sarah has started with two wins.
“Hanna and Paige both won in straight sets. Courtney and Lexie both played well in their first match.”
Sullivan open play in the Western Indiana Conference when they play tonight at Indian Creek.
