Softball earns two wins

By B.J. HARGIS: Sullivan junior Kendal Edmondson picked up a win at Terre Haute South on Friday.

Sullivan picked up two wins over the weekend. On Friday night at Terre Haute South, the Lady Arrows defeated the Lady Braves 8-1 as Kendal Edmondson pitched the first six innings to earn the victory.

Delainey Shorter had a double and triple and scored three runs, Gracie Shorter hit two home runs and drove in four runs and Riley hit a solo home run.

On Saturday at home, Sullivan blanked Washington 10-0 in five innings, improving to 8-3 as Kate Ridgway tossed a no-hitter, striking out 12 and walking two.

Brooklyn Riley homered and drove in two runs. Delainey Shorter had a triple while Jocey Wible finished with two hits and scored twice. Gracie Shorter had three hits while Avery Wiltermood and Edmondson collected two hits apiece.
