North Central softball, baseball lose
Ladybirds fall at West Vigo
West Vigo scored all of its runs in the first four innings as the host Lady Vikings defeated North Central 9-2 in a high school softball game on Monday.
The Ladybirds managed three hits, singles by Hope Crooks, Emma Zimmerman and Lilli Gaines.
Zimmerman had the only RBI for North Central.
Crooks and Brooklin Klitzing each scored a run.
Malee McCoskey allowed nine hits and nine runs as she tossed a six-inning complete game. North Central had four errors, which led to six unearned runs.
McCoskey issued four walks.
The Ladybirds slipped to 4-9.

North Central loses SWIAC game
Bloomfield scored three runs in the first inning and cruised to a 9-2 victory over visiting North Central in a Southwestern Indiana Athletic Conference baseball game on Monday.
North Central dropped to 0-9 overall, 0-5 in the SWIAC.
The T-birds committed five errors, which led to six unearned runs.
Kameron Fagg tossed the first three innings and took the loss, allowing five hits and six runs, only three earned. Ty Jackson and Jacob Adams also pitched for NCHS.
Gage Wheaton and Dillon Prewitt each drove in one run.
Wyatt Ison had a double and scored a run.
Fagg drew a walk and scored the other NC run.
Jaron Bonacorsi, Drew Fuson and Keegan Morris each had a base hit for the Thunderbirds.
